On December 17, 2025, Assemblywoman Nily Rozic and Assemblywoman Larinda Hooks visited the Bukharian Jewish Museum for a cultural site tour focused on the history and traditions of the Bukharian Jewish community in Queens. The visit was hosted by Aron Aronov, Founder of the Bukharian Jewish Museum, and Alla Aronova, Museum Director.
During the tour, the Assemblywomen explored the museum’s collection of traditional textiles, ceremonial garments, artwork, photographs, and historical artifacts that reflect generations of Bukharian Jewish life. Mr. Aronov and Ms. Aronova shared the story behind the museum and its role in preserving a heritage that is both deeply rooted and actively lived in Queens today.

The visit included thoughtful dialogue with Assemblywoman Hooks around expanding awareness of the museum as an educational resource, particularly for local schools interested in cultural learning experiences and site visits. The conversation highlighted opportunities to introduce students to Bukharian history in a hands-on, meaningful way.
The site visit reflected Assemblywoman Rozic’s continued presence within the community and her interest in supporting institutions that educate, preserve culture, and create opportunities for connection across generations.
