In January 2026, Spartak Sports Club proudly represented the United States at the Casablanca IJF Africa Open Cadet & Junior Tournament, competing among 143 judokas from 26 countries and demonstrating outstanding skill, determination, and sportsmanship on the international judo stage. The team competed under the supervision of USA Olympic Team Coach, 8th Dan Arkadiy Aronov, whose leadership and experience played a key role in their success.
One of the tournament’s highlights was Joseph Sulimanov, who earned a bronze medal after a series of tough and competitive matches. Joseph faced strong opponents from Kuwait, Morocco, and the Bahamas, showing resilience, technical excellence, and true fighting spirit throughout the tournament.
Spartak Sports Club was also proudly represented by Adam Fayziyev and Jacob Boruchov, who competed with confidence and courage against elite international athletes. Both judokas proved themselves to be strong competitors and excellent representatives of the club, gaining valuable experience and demonstrating their high level of preparation.
The success continued back home on February 8, 2026, when Spartak Sports Club cadets participated in the Big Apple Judo Classic Championship at Queens College in New York. The results were impressive:
• 1st Place – 5 times
• 2nd Place – 5 times
• 3rd Place – 4 times
These achievements reflect the hard work, discipline, and dedication of Spartak’s young athletes, as well as the commitment of their coaching staff.
I am incredibly proud of all our judokas. Spartak Sports Club is making a real difference — helping to make children’s lives safer, more meaningful, and their futures brighter through sport, discipline, and positive values.
Congratulations to all athletes, coaches, and families on these outstanding accomplishments!
Congratulations on your winnings! With all my heart,

Coach Arkadiy Aronov
