On Sunday, approximately 50 people attended the Purim celebration in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
The prayer and ceremonial event, organized by my father Arkadiy Isakharov, leader of the community here, were held at TERO Synagogue at Shokh Jahon 62 Street (formerly Gorbunov Street.) A festive pilaf and feast were organized and enjoyed by all the guests.
You may notice that no one wore costumes—this is not usually practiced here.
