There was a palpable sense of achdus, hakaras hatov, and heartfelt camaraderie at the 30th Annual Dinner of Bnos Malka Academy. Held on March 9th at Da Mikelle Palazzo, the evening brought together parents, faculty, and supporters to celebrate the remarkable impact of the school and to honor outstanding individuals whose dedication continues to shape both the Bnos Malka family and the wider community.
The program began with heartfelt Tehillim for Eretz Yisroel, led by Rabbi Yehuda Davis, Rav of Kehilas Torah Temima, setting a meaningful and elevated tone for the evening. Menahel Rabbi Michael Weichselbaum then shared inspiring words of chizuk, reflecting on the role that supporters play in helping Bnos Malka to fulfill its mission.

Throughout the night, beautifully produced videos paid tribute to this year’s esteemed honorees:
● Guests of Honor – Mr. and Mrs. Yosef and Yehudis Fink
● Eishes Chayil – Mrs. Rachel Gass
● Educator of the Year – Mrs. Leya Thurm

Each honoree was recognized not only for their unwavering commitment and tireless efforts but also for the genuine warmth and dedication they bring to Bnos Malka. As a token of appreciation, they were presented with an exclusive piece of art, thoughtfully designed by renowned artist–and Bnos Malka teacher–Mrs. Devorah Rhodes.

The dinner was also dedicated l’iluy nishmat Rachel Aliza a”h bat Ora Nisanov, a recent Bnos Malka graduate who was tragically nifteres last summer. Rachel Aliza is remembered for her kindness, pursuit of peace and desire for growth. Rabbi Nisanov delivered a moving speech about the lasting impact his daughter had on those around her and shared that he is establishing a scholarship fund in her memory to help ensure that Bukharian children have access to a Torah education.

A highlight of the evening was the feature presentation, themed “Going Beyond,” which shone a spotlight on Bnos Malka teachers and administrators. The video focused on the tremendous dedication and commitment of our staff, not only inside the classroom but in conversations, preparation and efforts that stretch far beyond the hours of the school day. With hakaras hatov to all who contributed to this memorable evening, the 30th Annual Dinner served as a true celebration of the past, present, and future of Bnos Malka Academy – where it all starts.
