Spartak Cadets Shine at USA Judo Youth National Championships

WICHITA, Kansas — Rising stars from Spartak Sports Club made a powerful showing at the USA Judo Youth National Championships last week in Wichita, earning top placements and affirming the club’s reputation as a training ground for elite young talent.

Competing against the nation’s strongest cadet judoka over March 14-15, Spartak athletes demonstrated not only technical excellence, but also the discipline and resilience that define the sport.

Leading the team was Samuel Davydov, who captured the gold medal and national title with a dominant performance. Joseph Sulimanov secured a silver medal finish, while Jacob Boruchov placed seventh in a highly competitive field.

“These results are a testament to the athletes’ dedication and the rigorous training environment at Spartak,” club founder Arkadiy Aronov noted, emphasizing the collective effort behind the victories.

The national championship, hosted by USA Judo in Wichita, brought together top youth competitors from across the country. Spartak representatives praised the organization of the event, highlighting the professionalism and support provided to both athletes and coaches.

Behind the scenes, the club acknowledged the contributions of its leadership and supporters, whose ongoing commitment helps nurture the next generation of champions. Special recognition was given to Chief Director and Head Coach Arkadiy Aronov, an 8th Dan Judo master and International Gold Coach, whose mentorship continues to shape Spartak’s athletes at every level.

The club also extended its gratitude to its community of sponsors and supporters, including Mark Davydov, Ben Yusupov, Igor Cohen, Oleg Aronov, Stella Illyayeva, Vladimir Katanov, and Lev Haitov.
